Privacy policy

We take your privacy and data very seriously. This commitment starts with a least-privilege philosophy: You can enjoy our services completely anonymously.

In fact, unless you sign up for "Friends of the Show", we collect have no information about you at all. Our ads are ethical, related to our content, do zero tracking or retargeting. They are simply image tags.

Data sharing

We do not share your information other than where is required to operate our business (e.g. Mailchimp because they manage our email infrastructure -- more details below on these services). Your information is safe and private with us.

Marketing communications

You are not required to take part in marketing communications to use our services. You may optionally choose to become a "Friend of the Show" which simply puts you on our mailing list.

If you cannot find an old email with the unsubscribe link to unsubscribe with, just send us a message from the account you want to unsubscribe to contact@pythonbytes.fm and we'll take you off the list.

Portability and erasure

The only data we potentially have of yours is your email address. If you want it gone, just unsubscribe from the mailing list (see above).

Data retention

We retain the very limited information we have about you (your email address if you provided it) indefinitely unless you explicitly unsubscribe as described under "Marketing communications".

External services

As stated above, we do not share your data except with a few select services necessary to operate our business. Here are those services and their related privacy policies.

Mailchimp is our newsletter and marketing email provider. We use them for outbound email communications (Friends of the Show only). The information exchanged is only your email address.
